The latest amendment to The Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006 means that Head Teachers may not grant any leave of absence during term-time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
If due to exceptional reasons you do need to request leave during term time please submit a Leave of Absence Request form at least four weeks before the proposed absence. Forms can be obtained from the school office or can be downloaded from the ‘parents’ section of this website.
Both the school and the Local Authority take the issue of school attendance very seriously therefore, please be advised that parents who fail to ensure their child’s regular attendance may be fined £60 (per parent, per child). If payment to the Local Authority is not made within 21 days (of a penalty notice being issued) the penalty will rise to £120 (per parent, per child).
