Project 6 - International Day

Project 6: International Day

 

On Friday 21st January, we celebrated International day as a school. The day was a celebration of the range of languages, cultures and traditions that are present amongst our school community. With over 20 different languages spoken in our school alone, we felt that it is important to promote the awareness of both linguistic and cultural diversity.

 

During this day, we celebrated the languages spoken within our school through a range of activities in class. These involved the exciting opportunity of a child-led language taster session by children, who are bilingual.   Pupils also wore non-uniform as part of this day for a small donation of £1 which should be given to the class teacher. It was amazing to see lots of children in traditional dress. We even had a message from our partner school in Dubai – see below:
