Welcome to Year 1's class page! You will find Miss Bowater in 1B and Miss Wood in 1W.
We focus on developing a love of reading and strengthening our phonics skills, making sure every day is exciting and full of learning. We work hard to create a supportive and fun environment where all the children can thrive!

Homework

Homework is set every Friday, to be brought in the follwoing Friday.

Reading - children should read for at least 10 minutes a day. Once your child has read their book 3 times then it will be changed in school. Reading records are to be brought in every day.

Phonics - Five Phonics links are sent via email every week for your children to watch. This will help with their reading.
PE

Year 1C - PE will take place on a Tuesday and a Thursday

Year 1W - PE will take place on a Tuesday.

All pupils are expected to take part in PE.

During the winter season, please ensure that your child has suitable clothing.
