Year 2
Welcome to Year 2 and to our year group page, where you will find all important dates and information. As well as Mr Butler and Mrs Edwards, in year 2 this year, we have, Miss Cowley, Miss Prcell, Miss Fanthom and Mrs Pearce, who I know you are all familiar with! Overall, Year 2 is going to be an exciting and challenging year. As a Year 2 team, we are very excited to witness first-hand all of the brilliant progress your child will make this year.

Important Notices
Homework

Homework will be sent out each Friday and will be returned the following Friday. Homework will alternate between creative projects and more formal written homework each week.

Reading - the expectation is that all pupils spend at least 10 minutes daily reading. Evidence shows more reading opportunities massively increase pupils' vocabulary.

Some children will have the opportunity to use Century as an alternative homework. This will be based around the ability of the child.
PE

PE days for both classes are Monday and Wednesday.

Please ensure that children bring their PE kits on these days.

All pupils are expected to take part in PE unless a medical note can be provided.

During the winter season, please ensure that your child has suitable clothing.
