Leading Parent Partnership Award
We are delighted to share that The Priory Primary School received verification of its success in meeting the KPI's for the LPPA award on July 15th 2024.
Below are a few areas that were highlighted, showing the strengths and impact school has on the community:
The tour of the school evidenced the welcoming physical environment, clear communication for parents/carers and the high quality, up-to-date displays of pupils’ work and other materials throughout.
High-quality general information is provided for parents, using a range of media, such as notice boards, plasma screens, letters, newsletters, emails, texts, the school website, and other online platforms used by the school. They told me how good the communication was and that the school had an open-door policy. The school works diligently to maintain strong relationships with families. For example, maintaining positive relationships with parents/carers through positive daily interactions. Staff are visible and available at drop off and pick up, and every Parent/carer I spoke to highlighted this as a huge positive of the school. This practice helps share positive experiences and facilitates clear communication.
The School is reflective of Parent participation and is creative in encouraging it! For example, a traditional online safety after-school meeting attracted one parent/carer! Vijay realised that the largest engagement was when the Parents/carers came into school to watch their child in a performance or to celebrate work. Therefore, the information was disseminated to each class, who delivered it as an assembly to their parents – resulting in a significantly increased attendance.
