A message from the Head Teacher...

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to The Priory Primary School; a fantastic school that caters for pupils from a wide range of social backgrounds on the Friar Park Estate in Wednesbury.    Our school is a happy and interesting place, where relationships with both pupils and parents are of the utmost importance. 

It is my ambition to provide all children with a rich variety of opportunities and experiences, to foster their love of learning and develop their talents.   This is achieved by providing an academically challenging curriculum, which allows individual interests and talents to blossom.   

As the world changes at a pace, some things remain the same: children need a safe, nurturing and inspirational environment in which to mature, learn and excel.  We offer this in abundance.     It is our ambition that when your child joins our school family, we develop in them, a boundless enthusiasm and appreciation of the opportunities around them.  

As teachers, our work begins by nurturing the many qualities and skills that have been fostered at home.  We believe in working with you to encourage your child to achieve high academic standards; to be hard working, confident, responsible, resillient and independent individuals.    We help to instil a moral compass where our children choose to do the 'right thing', are empathetic and have an emotional literacy which enables them to be future citizens in a rapidly changing world.

I am proud to be leading such a dedicated team of professionals who are committed to providing high quality education to ensure that pupils achieve their full potential. 

We want the very best for the children in our care and insist on the highest standards of work and behaviour at all times.  I am immensely proud of our pupils who are thoughtful and caring.  They continually impress us with their attitudes to learning and show respect and courtesy to our whole school family. 

We believe that all pupils who join our school deserve only the very best and our aim is to help them to succeed.  This is achieved by ensuring that each pupil has a clear and structured curriculum where they understand their educational journey; this is achieved by encouraging pupils and staff to work collaboratively together. 

Learning together is what The Priory Primary School is all about: a love of learning; the motivation to succeed.  We want our pupils to become curious, independent thinkers and to try new experiences - this is our guiding principle.
